What conditions can colleges and universities provide to college students who start their own businesses?

Colleges and universities can provide: academic performance bonus, flexible learning system, priority for schools changing majors, demonstration bases, and funding for self-employed college students.

In accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Students in Ordinary Colleges and Universities" (Order No. 41 of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China) and the "Regulations of the Ministry of Education on Doing a Good Job in the Employment and Entrepreneurship of Graduates from Ordinary Colleges and Universities in 2016" Notice" (Teaching [2015] No. 12) document stipulates:

1. Students’ experiences and achievements related to professional study and academic requirements such as participating in innovation and entrepreneurship, social practice and other activities, publishing papers, obtaining patent authorization, etc. , can be converted into credits and included in academic performance. The specific measures are stipulated by the school. Schools should encourage, support and guide students to participate in social practice and innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and can establish innovation and entrepreneurship files and set innovation and entrepreneurship credits.

2. Schools can establish and implement flexible learning systems according to circumstances. For students who take a break from school to start a business, the maximum number of years of study can be separately specified and the approval process for a break from school can be simplified.

3. Schools should give priority to students who take a leave of absence to start a business or who return to school after retiring and need to change majors due to their own circumstances.

4. Universities in various regions should build a number of college student entrepreneurship demonstration bases and continue to promote the construction of university science and technology parks, entrepreneurship parks, entrepreneurship incubation bases and internship practice bases. Universities should open up special venues for student innovation and entrepreneurship practice activities. In principle, the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education, various laboratories, teaching instruments and equipment, etc. should be open to students.

5. All colleges and universities should optimize their expenditure structure, coordinate and arrange funds through multiple channels, support innovation and entrepreneurship education and teaching, and fund student innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
