Large frame (conventional) beehive
Large-frame beehive refers to a box with a single frame area similar to Langham Beehive. Among the 1 1 beehives listed in this paper, Langshi beehives and 8 kinds of beehives designed and manufactured by ourselves in China belong to this kind of beehives, except Hegn.
Small nest frame (special) beehive
Small-cell beehive refers to a beehive whose single cell frame area is only about half of Langer's beehive. Among the above 1 1 kinds of beehives, Indian type A beehives, type B beehives, type GN beehives and type FWF beehives all belong to this kind of beehives.
India's A-type hives are ultra-small hives, with a single frame area of 34.7% of Langham hives, and B-type hives are small and medium-sized hives, with a single frame area of 55.8% of Langham hives. Both box A and box B are raised by Danwang Group.
GN-type beehive is a new patented beehive newly developed by bee teaching staff of Sichuan Agricultural University in recent years on the basis of in-depth study on the oviposition characteristics of queen bees in China. The area of single nest frame is 43.9% of Lang's hive, and it is raised by single queen bee colony. FWF beehive is a new type of special beehive with living frame, which was developed in 199 1. Two groups are kept in the same box, equipped with the same specifications. When bees fill the upper and lower boxes with ***24 frames, it is equivalent to 12 frames of bees in Langham's box. The area of a single nest frame is 59.8% of the area of Lang's hive.
Among the four kinds of small beehives of oriental bees in four Asian countries, the single frame area of Indian B-box and FWF B-box is almost the same; The smallest nest frame area is India a-box; Between the above two is the GN hive.
Six-grid beehives are compared with ten-grid standard beehives (that is, Lang's beehives), because in its internal dimensions, its width is smaller than ten-grid standard beehives 14.5cm, and the rest are the same as ten-grid standard beehives, but only six nests can be put down. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, convenient movement, less materials and economy. It has been widely used in beekeeping production in our region, and has shown good social and economic benefits.
A variety of mating boxes (groups) are usually used in breeding farms and king farms. When using standard nest frames and nests, 1 ten-frame TEUs are often divided into 2, 3 or 4 compartments by doors, and the doors of each compartment are opened in different directions. 1/2 is often used to save bees. 1/4。 1/8 standard nest spleen or smaller size special mating box number of small nuclear groups in house. The junction box of multiple units can be called multi-core group box.
Multi-chamber mating box or multi-core group box, although the door of the nest opens in different directions, bees often get lost in the nest, the queen bee gets married and flies back, and the worker bees are killed. The observation of misar, a royal Ukrainian breeder, shows that when the mated queen bee is taken out of some small rooms in the multi-core bee colony box, bees without queen bee colony often climb to another small room along the wall of the box, which can kill the queen bee in the adjacent room; This phenomenon can be reduced by adding a layer of colored fence on the box wall near the nest door.
Komissar thinks that it is not effective to simply erect 1 partition on the wall of the box to separate adjacent nest doors. He suggested that installing a square fence with a height of 60 ~ 80 mm or a circular fence with a diameter of 80 ~ 100 mm on the box wall of the nest door can effectively prevent other groups of crawling bees from entering; Color can also be used as a marker to reduce the wrong vote of the queen bee (Figure 1). The walls of the enclosure and the boxes in the enclosure must be painted in the same color. Square can be made of thin wood or aluminum, and round and funnel can be made of metal or plastic.

Comesa test, 12 and 18 small room multi-core boxes have achieved the expected results. Nest doors and fences are arranged on the four walls of the hive, in groups of three, in an isosceles triangle; Two groups of nest door fences can be set on the wide box wall, or the fence and the nest door can be set at different heights (Figure 2). The distance between two adjacent nested doors should not be less than 200mm.
They made a comparative test on each box of 8-room nuclear group boxes with and without fences: each room has 1 small nest door, and the walls of the boxes in front of the nest door are painted with white, blue, green or yellow respectively. The box with wall core is equipped with a metal circular wall with a diameter of 100 mm or a square wall with a height of 80mm; Paint them with different colors, too. At the same time, the queen bees of each nuclear group were taken out for 2 ~ 3 days, and then induced into the mature queen bee platform respectively.
