How to prevent glasses from fogging?

Buy anti-fog glasses

Patent anti-fog lenses are generally coated with a special hydrophilic anti-fog film, which can effectively reduce the probability of fog formation and the anti-fog effect can reach 85%. However, different brands of anti-fog lenses may have different anti-fog effects.

2. Use special anti-fog cleaner for glasses.

The special anti-fog cleaner for glasses can form a dense, ultra-thin and ultra-transparent biological coating on the lens surface, and transform the fog droplets into a transparent micro-glass layer, thus achieving the purpose of anti-fog.

At present, special antifogging agents for glasses are usually used for swimming goggles, but in fact, they are effective for all kinds of optical glass, optical resin sheets and coated lenses sold in the market. The light transmittance after smearing can reach 70%-85%, which is much higher than that after atomization 10%.

3. Self-made anti-fog

Mix 30 ml glycerol with 10 ml soap solution, then add a few drops of turpentine and stir well. When in use, the antifogging agent is coated on the lens, and then it is dried with glasses cloth. General anti-fog effect can last for 3-4 hours.

4. Other simple methods

Apply a surface active substance such as soap, detergent or shower gel to the lens, and then polish it with glasses cloth. General anti-fog duration can reach 2-3 hours.

Self-made antifogging is simple, but washing products such as soap often have a certain corrosive effect, which may damage the coating on the lens surface, thus destroying the radiation protection and scratch protection functions of the coating. Therefore, frequent use is not recommended.

Why does the lens fog?

At low temperature, water vapor will condense into smaller particles and attach to or around the lens. When encountering air with high temperature, small particles of solid water vapor will liquefy or evaporate, which will fog the lens and affect the visual clarity.

How can I make the fog beads on the lens no longer interfere with the visual clarity? At present, the most commonly used method is to reduce the surface tension of fog beads, so that the fog beads on the lens can be polymerized to form an ultra-thin water film.
