The "theory of instantaneous shrinkage and maximum instantaneous shrinkage of wood cells" proposed for the first time in the world has attracted widespread attention in the academic world. It pioneered the preparation technology of NSCFR flame retardant and NCRADH inorganic non-flammable adhesive, and developed the preparation technology of enhanced flame retardant layer for the first time, filling the gap in the field of international flame retardant research. This technology has been fully used in corporate production, generating annual profits of billions of yuan. It has also made outstanding contributions to reducing the occurrence of fire accidents. This achievement won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2010.
