Shaoguan Technician College (Shaoguan Senior Technical School) was founded in May, 1964. Its predecessor was Shaoguan Technical School and Shaoguan No.1 Technical School, and it was one of the first three technical schools in Guangdong Province. At present, Shaoguan is the only public technical college, national key technical school, national secondary vocational education reform and development demonstration school and national high-skilled personnel training base.
The College assisted enterprises in tackling key technical problems, developed and manufactured adjustable-speed cooling devices for heat treatment, rigid endoscope performance testing devices, porcelain-core dust-blowing air guns and other instruments and equipment, provided free support for Shaoguan small and medium-sized enterprises to process product samples and solve technical problems in the production process, and obtained many national patents.
In 20021year, 52 competitions at or above the municipal level were organized, and * * * 106 people won prizes.
