Are WIPO and WTO concerned about the same scope of intellectual property rights?
The scope of intellectual property concerned by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the World Trade Organization is different. The World Intellectual Property Organization mainly focuses on intellectual property rights such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs and geographical indications. The World Trade Organization (WTO) mainly focuses on intellectual property rights in the fields of trade and services. The scope of intellectual property rights concerned by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the World Trade Organization overlaps to some extent, but there are also some differences.
