Shoes: According to shoes, shoes can be divided into hard shell shoes, semi-soft shoes and full soft shoes. Generally, inline skates are mostly hard-shell shoes and semi-soft shoes. Hard-shell shoes and semi-soft shoes have their own advantages. Hard-shell shoes are composed of outer shell and inner sleeve, which have good support. Semi-soft shoes consist of leggings and inner boots. The toe cap is similar to casual shoes and more comfortable than hard-shell shoes. But for different grades of shoes, the hardness of shoes is not the only criterion to distinguish between comfort and support.
Leisure roller skates and FSK shoes emphasize comfort, and the shell is generally semi-soft shoes. Flat shoes, FSK shoes and extreme shoes are generally semi-soft shoes or hard-shell shoes with good support. FSK shoes and extreme shoes choose semi-soft shoes to ensure comfort, but the hardness of leggings is higher. Professional flat shoes are mostly hard-shell shoes. Roller skates and speed skates are special. Generally, shoes are made of fiberglass, which is relatively hard and has good support. The shape is close to semi-soft shoes, but the hardness is very high. Most of them have no inner boot design. Professional skates and speed skates also use carbon fiber as a material. In order to reduce the load and give full play to the ankle strength, the upper of speed skating shoes is relatively short.
Beginners should generally choose a pair of "hard-shell" shoes, because such shoes are more supportive, help ankle support, and are not easy to get hurt, but their comfort will be affected. Therefore, they can comprehensively consider choosing a pair of semi-soft shoes with good support.
Tool rest: Tool rest can be divided into engineering plastic tool rest and aluminum alloy tool rest according to material, integrated engineering plastic tool rest, integrated aluminum alloy tool rest and split aluminum alloy tool rest according to structure, and integrated aluminum alloy tool rest can be divided into die casting type and pultrusion type according to molding process. And the engineering plastic tool rest, different brands of roller skates use different materials, and the violence resistance and stability are far from each other.
From the aspect of violence resistance of leisure roller skates, it is rare for the tool holder to burst or irrecoverable deformation, unless it is caused by man-made or accident, so you don't need to worry that the plastic tool holder is not as strong as the aluminum alloy tool holder. But for professional players, the tool rest will often be impacted, so they will use integrated aluminum alloy tool rest or extremely special engineering plastic tool rest.
In terms of stability, the integrated tool holder is more stable than the split tool holder. The stability of integral aluminum alloy handle is the best, followed by integral engineering plastic handle, and finally the split aluminum alloy handle. The split tool holder will be deformed in herringbone or parallelogram under the condition of bearing or pressing force, and will return to its original shape after unloading due to its toughness. But the deformation will affect the performance of shoes, especially the operation of load-bearing wheels.
The structure of the tool rest also determines the performance of roller skates. The length of the tool holder is the distance from the center of the first shaft hole to the center of the last shaft hole. The longer the tool holder, the better the sliding stability, and the shorter the tool holder, the better the sliding flexibility. Generally, the tool rest of flat shoes will be shorter to increase flexibility, and roller skates with casual street brushing speed will choose a longer tool rest to increase stability. For beginners, the long tool holder is easier to use and can learn basic skills better.
Bearing: A good bearing should be very smooth. When buying shoes, you can gently turn the wheel by hand, and the wheel should turn evenly. But idling time is not the only basis to distinguish the quality of bearings. The performance of bearings depends on their use in the best working environment. Speed sliding bearings need good continuity, FSK and limit bearings need good impact resistance. Some ordinary bearings will shorten the idling time because the grease is too thick.
A series of parameters of the bearing will be listed on the bearing cover, such as the words "608 ZZ ABEC-7", where 60 indicates that the circumference of the outer ring of the bearing is 60mm, 8 indicates that the diameter of the inner ring is 8mm, z indicates that there are metal dust covers on both sides, ABEC is the tolerance grade of the seven-ball bearing (grade ABEC is 1, 3, 5, 7), and ILC. (ILQ grades are 7 and 9), and the other is SG grade bearing, SG-7. SG-9 is the patent of Italian roller skating. Generally, the higher the parameters behind the bearings of the same brand, the better the accuracy of the bearings, but the bearings of different brands and different tolerance standards cannot be compared horizontally.
Wheels: Wheels are usually made of two materials, namely PVC (plastic) and PU (polyurethane). PVC wheels are cheaper, but their elasticity and wear resistance are poor. The way to test the elasticity is to gently shake the wheel and then throw it back up. To measure the elasticity of the wheel, the ratio of the rebound height to the highest point of throwing is generally above 30%, and the high elastic wheel is even close to 100%.
Most wheels are printed with wheel parameters, such as 80MM82A, the first 80MM is the diameter, and the second 82A is the hardness. The higher the hardness, the smaller the friction with the bottom surface, the better the continuity and wear resistance, but the grip is unstable, which is generally suitable for outdoor rough sites; The lower the hardness, the better the grip, but it is not wear-resistant, suitable for smoother venues. The choice of wheels can be based on the actual use and place of use.
The size of the wheel is one of the main factors that determine the speed continuity of roller skates. Generally speaking, the better the continuity, the more labor-saving, which is why speed skating needs bigger wheels.
Roller skates are generally designed with flat wheels, that is, in the case of a positive edge, all wheels are attached to the ground at the same time, which helps to increase stability. Professional flat shoes generally adopt banana wheel design, that is, the middle wheel is attached to the ground, and the first and last wheels are separated from the bottom surface, so that the flexibility is higher when fancy on the flat ground. It is not recommended to use roller skates designed with banana wheels when practicing basics, brushing streets and speed skating. In this way, most of the force in the sliding process will be used to balance the center of gravity, and the acceleration is naturally not as good as the flat wheel. Moreover, in the relatively high-speed sliding, the roller skates designed by banana wheels will swing slightly from side to side, which is very dangerous when sliding.
Size: Generally, the size of roller skates is half a size smaller than the shoes you wear on weekdays, and you can also buy them according to the actual length. Of course, it is best to try on shoes. Under normal circumstances, you must try your feet, and it is advisable not to shake your feet left and right inside. The thickness and comfort of the inner sleeve of roller skates are the key to choosing shoes. The thicker the inner sleeve, the softer the tongue. Only suitable shoes with feet can protect ankles and make sports more flexible.
Upgradeable space: the upgradeable space of roller skates is also a point to be considered comprehensively when buying shoes. The tool rest, bearing and shoe wheel with upgradeable space can be replaced. In this way, if you feel that your old roller skates are not satisfactory in performance and speed, you don't have to throw them away, so you can upgrade them according to your own preferences. You can change a more comfortable or comfortable inner boot, change a tool rest that is more suitable for your own needs, make it more comfortable, change finer bearings, bigger and better wheels.
How do beginners choose roller skates
Beginners first suggest buying non-professional shoes, followed by buying professional shoes with good comprehensive performance, but pay attention to basic exercises. If economic conditions permit, you have a clear idea about your level or which project you like to play, and you can buy a mid-range or high-end professional-grade sneaker in one step.
Casual shoes or FSK shoes and even extreme shoes are also suitable for beginners. Choosing semi-soft shoes or hard-shell shoes with good support, leggings and wheelset stability is the premise. Generally speaking, novices should also practice basic movements such as sliding, turning and braking on the road. Non-professional roller skates can meet these requirements and the price is relatively cheap. However, when the level is improved and you start to learn various movements, you must buy professional roller skates, because those difficult movements are not affordable for ordinary roller skates. Good roller skates concentrate their weight on the upper, which can ensure the comfort of roller skates, and the tool rest is as thin as possible while ensuring firmness.
Flat shoes are not recommended for beginners because they are elastic, or flat wheels can be used instead of flat shoes.
