How to make straw coal

Crop straws or crushed waste biomass are pressed.

Coal is transformed from plant residues through complex biochemical and physicochemical processes. In the Paleozoic era more than 200 million years ago, due to the crustal movement, trees and other vegetation sank to the bottom of the swamp, covered with mud and rocks, and gradually became today's coal under the long pressure and geothermal action.

Straw coal is a rod-shaped solid granular fuel which can be directly burned by compressing crop straw or crushed waste biomass. The briquette granular fuel has a large proportion and a small volume, which is convenient for storage and transportation. It is a high-quality solid fuel with a calorific value of 3,200-4,500 kcal, characterized by flammability, low ash content and low cost, and can replace firewood, raw coal and other fuels.

Extended data:

The use requirements of straw coal:

1. The raw material of molding fuel is renewable agricultural and forestry wastes. Because of the low sulfur and nitrogen content, the supporting special boilers can reach a high level of clean combustion, and even small-tonnage boilers can easily achieve clean combustion with proper dust removal.

2. Granular fuel is made by extruding sawdust, straw and other raw materials with a press roller and a ring die at room temperature. The density of raw materials is generally around 1 100 kg/m3, and the particle density after molding is greater than 1 100 kg/m3, which is very convenient for transportation and storage, and its fuel performance is also greatly improved.

3. Use new machinery with reasonable design and complete functions. Secondly, the manipulator must be required to debug the machinery before field operation, and the crushing length of corn straw should be controlled at 3-5cm, so as to avoid that the straw is too long and the soil pressure is not solid, which will affect the emergence and growth of crops.
