Materials discipline has been selected as one of the top disciplines in ESI World 1000 for many years. The academic research results of the college have published many papers in world-famous journals such as Nature, Science and Progress of Materials Science. A number of key technological achievements have been successfully applied to aviation, aerospace, ships, nuclear power and other major engineering equipment, which have solved key problems in important areas of the country, met the major engineering needs of the country and played an irreplaceable role.
