My understanding is
Draw a two-dimensional coordinate map first.
The vertical axis unit is the number of patents, and the horizontal axis unit is the number of patents.
Then the number of patents and patentees of this technology is counted every year.
According to the annual order (from small to large), point out the position of the number of patents and the number of patentees in that year on the coordinate map.
Then connect the points in chronological order.
This chart is called technology life cycle chart in patent analysis. It is based on the ratio of the number of patents to the number of patentees to judge the development cycle of technology, which is divided into: germination period, growth period, maturity period and decline period.
The analysis and interpretation of each stage is different and very long. If you are interested, ask further.
