Jingning mushroom is a specialty of Jingning County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. Jingning is one of the cradles of mushroom cultivation in the world. It was named "China Mushroom Town" by the Ministry of Agriculture 1996.
Jingning Lentinus edodes, according to the History and Culture of Mushroom Cultivation in China edited by edible fungi experts Zhang Shoucheng and Lai Minyi, the cultivation of Lentinus edodes originated from the mushroom colony of 1300 square kilometers connected with Longquan, Qingyuan and Jingning counties in Zhejiang, China. Dragon, Qing and Jing counties have also preached for generations that mushrooms are imperial patents. In the year of Qing Daoguang 19 (1839), a mushroom temple was built in Baokeng, Jingning. Every year, from the 13th day of the seventh lunar month, the mushroom fragrance period lasts for ten days and continues to this day.
Jingning is one of the birthplaces of artificial cultivation of Lentinus edodes in the world, which has been cultivated for more than 800 years. The cultivated varieties of edible fungi are Lentinus edodes, Auricularia auricula, Pleurotus ostreatus, Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus eryngii, Agrocybe aegerita, etc. 10. In 2008, the county produced 52.94 million bags of edible fungi with an output value of 1.7 1.09 million yuan, which is one of the pillar industries for farmers to increase their income and become rich. 1995 "Shanshan" brand Lentinus edodes and Auricularia auricula won the gold medal in the second China Agricultural Expo, and 1999 and 200 1 were respectively rated as brand-name products in China International Agricultural Expo, and won the gold medal in Zhejiang Agricultural Expo in 2000. In 2006, Jingning Lentinus edodes was named "Top Ten Famous Mushrooms in Zhejiang". Jingning has been rated as an advanced county of edible fungi production in China by China Edible Fungi Association for many times. 1996 was named "China Mushroom Town" by the Ministry of Agriculture.
