He has been engaged in scientific research in the fields of molecular microbiology and genetic engineering for more than 20 years in the front line of teaching and scientific research in colleges and universities. The research content involves the upstream biotechnology of gene cloning and engineering strain construction, the midstream fermentation technology of engineering analysis of microbial fermentation process and the downstream technology of separation, purification and detection of expression products. After coming to Donghua University in 2004, I mainly studied marine biotechnology and textile biotechnology. At present, my research is as follows:

1. Cloning, functional analysis and heterologous expression of functional gene cluster of marine microorganisms, screening of drug lead compounds of marine microorganisms.

2. Molecular modification and directed evolution of industrial enzymes based on molecular biology technology.

3. Structural modification of marine biological collagen and research on nano biomedical functional materials.
