Apple Samsung patent litigation dispute
20 1 1 In April, Apple sued Samsung in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California for infringing its patents and trademark rights, arguing that Samsung's Galaxy series of mobile phones and tablets copied the design of iPhone and iPad and the icon design of display screen.
In the same month, Samsung filed counterclaims against Apple in South Korea, Japan, Germany and the United States, accusing Apple of infringing a large number of technical concepts such as Samsung mobile phone time zone switching and 10 patents. But by July, Samsung withdrew its lawsuit in the United States, with the aim of "simplifying legal procedures."
In September of the same year, Apple filed a lawsuit in an Australian court, accusing Samsung Galaxy Tab 1.0 tablet computer of infringing its patent. Subsequently, Samsung also sued Apple's iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad in Australia for infringing seven patents held by Samsung.
Subsequently, Samsung and Apple launched a lawsuit on a global scale until August 20 12, when the two companies stood in the federal court in San Jose, California and had a heated debate.
