Injection molding of thermoplastic materials: the materials are heated and melted, injected into molds, and cooled for molding.
Direct compression molding: the cold material is directly put into a hot mold for compression molding.
Injection molding thermosetting materials: the materials are heated (just to reduce viscosity) and then injected into a hot mold for pressure molding.
It can be seen that the essence of injection molding and direct compression of thermosetting plastics is the same (formed by chemical crosslinking reaction).
