According to China National Intellectual Property Administration, the COVID-19 vaccine patent application jointly filed by Academician Chen Wei from the Institute of Military Medicine of the Academy of Military Sciences and Kangxinuo Bio has been granted the patent right, which is the first COVID-19 vaccine patent in China.
Chen Wei, female, born on February 26th, 1966 in Lanxi, Zhejiang Province, party member, is a biosafety expert, academician of China Academy of Engineering, director and researcher of Institute of Bioengineering, Academy of Military Medicine of Chinese People's Liberation Army, vice-chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, professional and technical grade II, major general rank, doctoral supervisor.
Chen Wei graduated from Zhejiang University in 1988 with a bachelor degree in chemical engineering.
