Extended data
Sexual Zn-Mn battery uses zinc as the negative electrode, manganese dioxide as the positive electrode, sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte, and adopts reverse polarity structure.
Primary battery with zinc as negative electrode, manganese dioxide as positive electrode and potassium hydroxide solution as electrolyte. Alkaline manganese battery, commonly known as alkaline battery. Its product series are all represented by the letter "LR", and the numbers behind indicate the battery model.
Alkaline manganese battery first seen in German patent is a kind of wet battery. 19 12 Another dry battery was patented in Germany. It was not until 1949 that the "Crown" battery of American Yuehua Company was put into the market. After the cylindrical structure of 1960 was successfully developed, alkaline manganese batteries developed rapidly.
Alkaline Zn-Mn battery is an upgraded high-performance battery product of ordinary dry battery. There are two kinds of batteries, LR6 (No.5) and LR03 (No.7). The products are divided into ordinary type (mercury content is 0.60%) and micro-mercury type (mercury content does not exceed 0.025%), and the trial production of mercury-free batteries is under way.
manufacturing method
The most popular alkaline manganese batteries are cylindrical and button-shaped, as well as square and flat. The shell of cylindrical battery (see figure) is a nickel-plated steel shell with a positive electrode cap, which is also a positive electrode current collector.
In close contact with it in the shell is a positive ring (cathode) made of electrolytic manganese dioxide, graphite and carbon black. The middle is filled with zinc paste made of zinc powder and gel lye, that is, negative electrode glue (anode), and a brass current collector is inserted in it.
The structure and size specifications of button alkaline manganese battery are basically the same as those of zinc-silver button battery. Typical formula quality of active substances in batteries: electrolytic manganese dioxide 90-92%, graphite powder 8-9%, acetylene black 0.5- 1%.
The negative electrode is 88-90% amalgam zinc powder, 5-7% zinc oxide, 3-4% CMC sodium salt and a proper amount of KOH solution. The electrolyte is 8 12NKOH solution, in which a proper amount of zinc oxide is dissolved.
