What preparations should I make before applying for a patent?

1. It's better to search the project to be patented and see if there is the same invention or design before. It's not necessary to apply for technology that obviously doesn't have novelty or creativity.

There are three kinds of patents in China: invention patents, utility model patents and design patents. Please determine the type before applying.

3. Determine whether it is a service invention: the applicant is a unit: the applicant is an individual; Service inventions belong to non-service inventions, and the power of attorney needs to be stamped, and non-service inventions need to be signed by themselves.

4. Provide a list of applicants, inventors or designers. Provide the applicant's ID number (the company provides the legal person code). If the mailing address, postal code and telephone number of the applicant are provided, the name, address, postal code and telephone number of the contact person must be provided.
