Hatch lines in section drawings shall not interfere with the clear identification of reference mark lines and principal lines.
Several drawings can be drawn on one drawing. An overall drawing can be drawn on several drawings, but it should be ensured that the drawings on each drawing are independent, and that when all the drawings are combined to form a complete overall drawing, they do not affect the clarity of each other. There should be no frames around the drawings.
If the total number of drawings is more than two, they should be numbered sequentially using Arabic numerals and preceded by the word "Picture", such as Figure 1, Figure 2...
Attachment Drawings should be drawn as vertically as possible on the drawing paper, clearly separated from each other. When the lateral dimensions of the parts are significantly larger than the vertical dimensions and must be arranged horizontally, the top of the drawing should be placed on the left side of the drawing. When there are more than two drawings on a page and one of them is arranged horizontally, the other drawings on the page should also be arranged horizontally.
Reference numbers should be numbered using Arabic numerals. If the same part appears in different drawings, the same reference number should be used. The same reference number should be used in each document of a patent application (the description and its drawings, claims, and abstract) to indicate the same part. However, this does not mean It is required that the reference numbers in each figure be consecutive.
The size of the drawings should be appropriate, so that every detail in the drawings can be clearly distinguished, and they should be suitable for mass reproduction by photoengraving, xerography, microfilming, etc.
The same drawing should be drawn at the same scale. In order to clearly display a certain component, an additional partial enlargement may be added. Drawings shall contain no other annotations other than necessary words. The words in the accompanying drawings should be in Chinese, and if necessary, the original text can be indicated in brackets.
Flow charts and block diagrams shall be regarded as attached drawings, and necessary words and symbols shall be given in their frames. In special cases, photos may be used to affix the drawings as attachments. For example, when displaying metallographic structures or tissue cells.
