What is the shelf life of patented organisms?

Where the invention for which a patent is applied involves new biological materials, the applicant shall submit the biological samples to the preservation unit recognized by China National Intellectual Property Administration for preservation on or before the filing date (priority date if there is priority) at the latest, and submit the preservation certificate and survival certificate issued by the preservation unit on or within 4 months from the filing date at the latest; If the certificate is not submitted at maturity, the sample shall be deemed as not submitted for preservation.
