In 2019, citizens in Urumqi, Xinjiang, who want to purchase fireworks and firecrackers, must bring their ID cards, and they can only purchase after the staff’s information is matched.
This year’s Spring Festival fireworks sales period will last until February 19. During this period, any fireworks and firecrackers purchased by residents can be traced from production to purchase to ensure safety. To verify the product, citizens only need to scan the QR code on the fireworks and firecrackers to see the place of origin, discharge effect and production certificate.
The Xinjiang Fireworks and Firecrackers Association reminds citizens that if they discover illegal production, transportation, storage of fireworks and firecrackers during the retail period of fireworks and firecrackers, they can call 110 or 12350 to report it. Once verified, there will be cash rewards of different amounts.
