The Department of Automation attaches great importance to curriculum construction, with 3 national excellent courses, 4 Beijing excellent courses and 28 various excellent courses jointly built by the school. In 2007, Professor Hua of the Department of Automation was awarded the national "Teacher Award" by the Ministry of Education, which was the first time that all the teachers of the Department of Automation and the School of Information received this honor.
