What is the function of wear plate?

Wear plates are mainly used in windward side of heating surface pipes such as boiler superheater, reheater, economizer and water wall pipe, and also used by induced draft fan (a little). Their main function is to protect the windward side of boiler pipeline, reduce pipeline wear and increase the service life of heating surface pipeline. Generally speaking, there are many "wear-resistant tiles" and "wear-resistant cover plates" in the industry. Wear-resistant bricks are special fittings for boilers. Generally used in power plant boilers. Small boilers are used less, and some coal chemical industries are also used.
