Method one

Open Endnote software and the word document that needs to insert references.

Find the reference to be inserted in Endnote, and click the reference name to select it. At this point, the selected reference will be shaded in blue.

Select Endnote from the menu bar of the word document.

Draw this option with X, and then select insrt below it.

Drop-down arrow next to the citation.

In the pop-up selection box, select Insert.

At this point, you will see that the selected document is automatically inserted into word according to the selected format.

Method 2

First, open the word document and position the cursor where you need to insert a reference.

Open the Endnote software, find the Insert button in the menu bar of Endnote, and then click Insert.

Method 3

Open Endnote software, find the reference to be inserted in Endnote, and click the reference name to select it.

Then right-click the selected document to pop up the right-click menu bar and select Copy.

Open the word document where you want to insert a reference, position the cursor where you want to insert a reference, and then paste it.
