To apply for a patent, you can submit it directly to the Patent Office, or you can entrust a patent agency to do the following:
1) Submit the patent application documents and patent request (including the name of the invention, the applicant, the invention Person information), patent application fees (i.e., official fees paid to the Patent Office) are submitted to the Patent Office. The application date and application number can be obtained from this, and the official acceptance notice will be issued within two weeks after the application date.
2) The Patent Office will examine the application. If a notice of examination action is issued, a reply must be made within the specified time limit. After the examination is finally passed, the Patent Office will issue an authorization notice indicating that it agrees to the authorization.
3) After the applicant registers for authorization, the patent authorization announcement comes into effect and the patent certificate is obtained.
Chinese patents are divided into three types: inventions, utility models, and designs.
It takes more than 2 years to invent, 6-8 months for utility models, and 5-6 months for design authorization.
