AKUANA is a brand founded by the domestic cave diving master Wang Yuan and his friends. At the same time, they also founded the local exploration diving organization WUD. AKUANA regulators are made in Italy.
The principle and structure of the regulator itself are relatively simple, and most of the basic patents have expired. As for the processing accuracy, it is not difficult to achieve. There is no problem at all in designing and manufacturing high-quality regulators in China. But it may be because of limited energy, so it may be a more appropriate choice to directly find a mature product for OEM at this stage.
In fact, it is said that AKUANA is already planning to launch a nationwide regulator. As for the quality of use. As far as I am concerned, I feel very satisfied with the use and the maintenance is also very convenient. Simple tools can be used to break down and maintain it. In addition, many WUD technical divers I know are also using AKUANA regulators.
Basic equipment needed for diving:
Swimming in a pool: swimsuit or bathing suit.
Swimming in the ocean: swimsuit or wetsuit.
Fishing in the ocean: wetsuit, weights, fins, snorkel tube and mask.
Diving Knife
Everyone who dives and fishes in the sea should prepare a diving knife, two is better. You should wear your dive knife where you can grab it with two hands. If the knife is in your leg, you can grab it with either hand, but if your leg is tangled in kelp, having one at your waist will help you reach and extricate yourself.
It is not recommended to wear a diving knife on the arm. If the knife is worn on the right arm and the left arm is entangled in a fishing net or rope, you will not be able to reach the knife. The same is true if you place it on your left arm. The sooner you get a knife, the sooner you can save a life.
Diving Buoy
Use the buoy to avoid passing ships. The buoy is an important item to attract their attention. It is recommended not to sneak into waterways or tourist attractions. Most boat owners don't even know what a dive buoy means (or they don't care and think it's a fishing net).
When you hear a buzzing underwater, it means a boat is approaching, and sometimes you can't tell how close the boat is. Therefore, it is best to surface to confirm first and pay attention to the direction the boat is traveling.
If you are on the water and see a boat approaching you, wave your speargun at the boat and shout loudly. Hopefully, people in boats will see you and turn away so they don't hit you. If for some reason the boat cannot see you coming towards you, dive as deep as possible to avoid the boat hitting you.
