The difference between information analysis and network pharmacology

Concept and goal are different.

1. Bioinformatics analysis: Bioinformatics analysis is a process in which application of computer science, statistics and biology knowledge process, analyze and interpret biological data. It includes processing and interpreting different types of biological data, such as genomics, transcriptomics, protein genomics and metabonomics. The goal of life information analysis is to extract valuable information and knowledge from a large number of biological data to understand the function and regulation mechanism of biological systems, and to infer the relevant information of biological processes through further analysis and explanation.

2. Network pharmacology: Network pharmacology is a comprehensive method of systems biology and computational biology. By constructing and analyzing the network relationship between various biomolecules, the mechanism and effect of drugs on organisms are studied. The main goal of network pharmacology is to explore the therapeutic effects and side effects of drugs by analyzing and predicting the interactions between drugs and biomolecules such as protein, genes and metabolic pathways, and their regulation on the whole biological network.
