1, Qinling tunnel. The total length of the Qinling Tunnel on Xikang Railway is 18km, which was started on 1995 and completed in 2005. Upon completion, it is the longest railway tunnel in China and the second longest railway tunnel in Asia. China Railway Corporation has independently completed about 60% of the whole tunnel, which is the first time in the construction.
The tunnel boring machine was used, and it won the Luban Award for architectural engineering, Zhan Tianyou Award for civil engineering and the first prize for national scientific and technological progress.
2. Dayaoshan Tunnel. Dayaoshan Tunnel on Heng-Guang Double Track, with a total length of 14km, started in19,81year and was completed in19,89. When completed, it is the longest double-track electrified railway tunnel in China. China Railway Corporation independently built the whole tunnel, and used the NATM principle to build the extra-long mountain railway track for the first time in the construction, and won the national special prize for scientific and technological progress.
