If there is no reply within the specified time limit, the Patent Office will withdraw the patent application, which will be regarded as not submitted, so there is no prior application and the prior application does not enjoy priority.
It is ok to apply for the same product and request priority within the time limit for correction (the application has not been withdrawn).
