Origin of the name:
In 1925, Japan’s radio station was born, and Japan’s first domestic radio was also produced by Hayakawa. Hayakawa radios attracted a large number of consumers, and the product was in short supply. At this time, Hayakawa focused on radios and began to use "Sharp" (translated as "Shengbao" in Hong Kong) as the name of his company and the brand name of his products.
Soon, the cheap and high-quality "Sharp" radios were sold to Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, China, Australia and other places. During this period, Hayakawa not only occupied a wide range of markets, but also obtained more than 40 invention patents. The TV set pioneered by Sharp Corporation was mass-produced in 1953 as Japan's first TV set.
The entrepreneur's wish to "use endless solar energy to benefit all mankind" was realized in 1963, and he was ahead of other companies in realizing the practical use of solar power generation. In 1964, the world's first desktop electronic calculator was born. In 1973, liquid crystal became practical and the liquid crystal display calculator was born.
