1, MT manual gearbox
The most basic gearbox, by manually controlling the gear lever, changes the transmission ratio of the gearbox, so that the speed and gear match better. People and cars have a stronger sense of communication, which is what some old drivers say when driving. MT manual operation will also be carried on some sports steel guns. Advantages: high transmission efficiency, fast speed increase and free choice of gear. High reliability and low maintenance cost.
2.AMT gearbox
Minimum automatic gearbox. It is called intelligent manual transmission. As the name implies, it is a set of computer control module to control the shift of manual gearbox, and the feeling of shifting will have a feeling of power interruption. The least recommended gearboxes are generally installed in A0-class cars, such as the early Changan Benben, Chevrolet Sail, Baojun 3 10, 5 10, 560 and other models.
There are also some large trucks whose automatic gears use AMT. Advantages: low cost, generally only a little more expensive than manual transmission models, low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs.
3.AT gearbox
The most mature and stable gearbox. AT gearbox is relatively complex and expensive, and the technology patents are monopolized by foreign companies such as Aisin, GM and Hyundai. From the earliest 4AT to 6AT, 9AT and 10AT, the fuel consumption, acceleration performance and driving comfort have all been improved.
AT gearbox is relatively the most recognized gearbox by consumers, and the best AT is ZF's longitudinal 8AT. Advantages: smoother and softer gear shifting, high durability, low failure rate and "so-called" lifetime maintenance-free.
4. Double clutch gearbox
The fastest gearbox. It is a technology that belongs to racing at first and then turns to civilian use. The technical barriers are low, and basically many domestic manufacturers can do it. Double clutch is divided into dry double clutch and wet double clutch. Dry dual clutch has low cost, high transmission efficiency and fast shift speed.
Wet dual clutch gearbox, high cost, smoother shift. Good heat dissipation and better stability. The best dual clutch gearbox in the industry is Porsche PDK gearbox. Advantages: fast shift speed, fast speed increase and low fuel consumption.
5.CVT transmission
The smoothest transmission. CVT transmission is a kind of transmission driven by steel belt. There are two kinds of steel belts and steel chains. Steel chains can withstand large torque, and are used in early Audi models, Subaru models and modern Nissan models. Steel belt drive is generally carried out on small displacement and small vehicles.
CVT can always keep the engine in the most suitable speed range, so the fuel consumption of CVT is relatively low. There is no obvious explosion point in the acceleration of CVT models, and some models will make CVT create a shift feeling of AT by adjusting the speed. Advantages: low fuel consumption, smooth driving, small size and light weight.
