The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is one of the earliest colleges in Xuzhou Normal University with strong comprehensive strength and key development. The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has four undergraduate majors: chemistry (chemistry education), applied chemistry, pharmaceutical engineering and environmental engineering, and four master's programs: organic chemistry, applied chemistry, curriculum and teaching theory (chemistry) and subject teaching (chemistry). Among them, chemistry (chemistry education) is the first batch of characteristic majors in Jiangsu Province, and organic chemistry is the key discipline in Jiangsu Province during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. The college has seven teaching and research sections, a chemical experiment teaching center, a modern analytical testing technology laboratory, an applied chemistry research institute and an organic chemistry research institute. Chemical experiment teaching center is the construction point of experimental teaching demonstration center of basic courses in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province. There are 673 full-time undergraduates and 60 graduate students.
