Overview of French invention patents?
France is one of the earliest countries in the world to establish a patent system, and the first patent law was promulgated in 179 1. 1974, France became a member of the World Intellectual Property Organization and joined the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) in 1978. 1992 France promulgated the intellectual property code, in which patents protect product inventions and method inventions. The State Industrial Property Office managed by the French Ministry of Economy and Finance is responsible for the registration and management of patents, but so far, France has not conducted substantive examination of patents.
