Which institutions can handle patent agency business?

In China, there are two kinds of institutions that can handle patent agency business: one is a patent agency that specializes in patent agency business and has relevant patent agency qualifications; The other is a law firm with relevant patent agency qualifications.

(1) Patent agencies usually have two organizational forms: partnership and limited liability company. A patent agency in the form of a partnership or a limited liability company shall meet the following conditions when engaging in patent agency business: (1) having a patent agency name that meets the requirements of laws and administrative regulations; (2) Having a written partnership agreement or articles of association; (3) Having an independent business place; (4) Partners and shareholders comply with relevant state regulations.

(2) To apply for a practice license, a law firm shall meet the following conditions: ① having an independent business place; There are two or more partners or full-time lawyers who have obtained the patent agent qualification certificate.
