China's Achievements in Information Science

In 2007, from 1998 to 10, the total number of patent applications in the field of electronic information technology in China exceeded 670,000, about 5.6 times of the total number of patent applications from 1985 to 1997. Among them, the number of invention patent applications reached 7 1.3%, and the industrial technology innovation ability was significantly improved. At present, China's patents in the field of information technology show ten development trends. Situation 1: the ability to innovate has been continuously enhanced. In all industries in China, the technological innovation activities and capabilities of the information industry have been continuously improved. In the statistics of patent applications and invention patent applications of all industries in China, patent applications related to information industry account for about 40%. At the same time, the technology concentration of the information industry is very high, accounting for 53% in all industries and 68.6% in the information technology field. The innovation achievements in the field of information technology are gradually increasing, and the overall growth rate is obviously faster than other domestic industries. The level of technological innovation and awareness of intellectual property protection in the information industry have also developed faster than other industries. Situation 2: Not enough to compete with multinational companies in developed countries. In the field of information industry, the total number of patent applications at home and abroad is 473,000 and 336,5438+0,000 respectively. Although the total number of domestic patent applications has exceeded that of foreign countries, the total number of domestic patent applications includes inventions and utility models, and the number of domestic invention patent applications is only 68.2% of that of foreign countries. As far as the quality of patent application is concerned, the gap between China and foreign countries is still obvious. This shows that although the scale of China's information industry is developing rapidly and the overall technical level of the information industry is constantly improving, it is not enough to compete with developed countries in terms of technical competitiveness. Situation 3: The gap between the number of invention patents at home and abroad is gradually narrowing. The average annual growth rate of domestic information technology patent applications and invention patent applications is 18.9% and 20.2% respectively. The average annual growth rate of foreign patent applications and invention patent applications reached 19.65, 438+0% and 19.2% respectively, and the gap was not too big. Although the gap between the number of invention patents at home and abroad is gradually narrowing in recent years, and the innovation ability of the information industry is also gradually improving, it still takes a long time for innovation and product accumulation to truly change the relatively weak situation in China. Situation 4: Multinational Corporations Strengthen their Patent Layout in China With the promotion of China's information industry in the global regional market and the enhancement of the overall technical strength of the domestic information industry, major multinational corporations from the United States, Japan, South Korea and the European Union have strengthened their patent layout in China, maintaining a leading position in the nine technical fields of the information industry, and hoping to strengthen their active position in China's technology and market competition with the help of the advantages of intellectual property inventions. The ranking of different countries in different technical fields is basically the same as that of domestic patent applications, with Japan, the United States and South Korea ranking in the top three, followed by Germany, the Netherlands and France. From the distribution of patent applications, the distribution of patents in computer and automation control, basic circuits and general equipment, electronic devices and other technical fields is very close, and the proportion is quite high, indicating that developed countries have invested a lot in technological innovation in these technical fields and the technical competition is equally fierce. Situation 5: The competitive pressure of domestic information technology enterprises is increasing. Domestic information technology enterprises should not only face the increasing pressure of technological competition in the global market, but also face the technological and market competition of multinational companies in the domestic market. The awareness of some information industry enterprises to implement intellectual property protection of innovation achievements is gradually becoming rational, and the proportion of domestic enterprises' invention applications is increasing, and high-tech invention patents have become the focus of patent applications. Situation 6: Regional imbalance still exists in mainland cities. Guangdong, Beijing and Shanghai still maintain the advantage of continuing to lead in the number of patents, while the gap in patent applications in the western region is obvious. The provinces and cities with strong technological innovation ability and the top ten provinces and cities with patent applications are still mainly distributed in the eastern coast, Bohai Bay, Pan-Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, and the growth rate of patent applications is faster than that of provinces and cities in the central and western regions. The central and western regions, especially the western region, have great room for development in both technological innovation and intellectual property accumulation. Situation 7: The patented technology content is getting higher and higher. While China's information industry is rapidly integrating into the global market, the awareness, ability and speed of technological innovation in the whole industry have made rapid progress. From 1998 to 2007, the average annual growth rates of the total number of patent applications, the number of invention patents and the number of utility model patents in the information technology field in China were 25.5%, 27. 1% and 2 1.3%, respectively, with the most obvious increase in invention patents, indicating that with the rapid development of the scale, the overall technical situation of China's information industry is gradually improving. Situation 8: The technological competitiveness of some domestic enterprises has been significantly enhanced. 1998 to 2007 is a decade of rapid development of technological innovation in the information industry, and the technological competitiveness of some domestic enterprises has been significantly enhanced. In the competition with foreign enterprises, domestic enterprises have made remarkable progress in technological innovation and intellectual property protection. Situation 9: the market application orientation has been significantly enhanced in recent years, the market application orientation of technological innovation and patent application in China's information industry has been significantly enhanced, and the industrial application of technological innovation achievements has been further improved. The proportion of authorized invention patents has increased significantly, and the potential value of patents has increased significantly. In the past ten years, the total number of patents granted in the information technology field has reached 299,000, which is about five times of the total number of information technology patent applications in the previous 13 year, and the proportion of authorized inventions is 43.8%, which is 27 percentage points higher than that in the previous 13 year. The absolute number of authorized invention patents is about three times that of 13 years ago. This shows that China's information industry has made great achievements in technological innovation in the past ten years, and the quality of patent applications has been significantly improved. Situation 10: The gap between authorized patents at home and abroad is gradually narrowing. /kloc-in the past 0/0 years, the technology research and development direction of domestic enterprises has been more extensive, involving relatively basic and key technical fields. The scientific and technological content of innovation achievements in the information industry has improved, and the industrial application effect has gradually emerged. During the ten years from 1998 to 2007, the growth rate of invention patents granted in Chinese mainland was 8 percentage points higher than that of foreign countries, and the total number of authorized patents at home and abroad was gradually approaching, but the absolute number of authorized invention patents abroad was still 3.5 times that of Chinese mainland. The gap between China's information industry and foreign technological competitiveness still needs to be gradually narrowed through technological innovation.
