AVS2 is a video coding and decoding standard with independent intellectual property rights in China, and it has been adopted by UHDForum, a global ultra-high definition alliance, as a 4K ultra-high definition technical specification. UHD Forum is the most influential international industrial organization in overseas 4K Ultra HD industry. In April, the organization released the technical specification for the second phase of 4K Ultra HD B "Implementation Guide for Ultra HD B", which listed AVS2 and H.265 as candidate standards and recommended them to TV and video service operators around the world, representing that the video codec standard with independent intellectual property rights in China has broken through the limitation of high-fee patent pools in Europe and America.
At present, a few video service providers, such as Digital Technology (300079) and Shanghai Guo Mao, have the ability to provide AVS 2 4K/50P/ 10 bit real-time encoders.
