Is the front fork tube of BMW Waterbird basically useless?

Yes, the waterfowl adopts BMW's patented Telelever front suspension structure, which has a central shock absorber spring in addition to two shock absorbers like the traditional telescopic shock absorber. When braking and passing through bumpy roads, the front fork shock absorber is basically not compressed, mainly because the central shock absorber spring works. Therefore, the two front fork tubes of waterfowl are thinner than those of other models, just because they have no shock absorption function and can be made lightweight.
