"Genesis" makes it very clear: There are two trees in the center of the Garden of Eden, one represents life and the other represents knowledge. If a person eats the fruit from the tree of knowledge, he will become wise, have wisdom, his eyes will be brightened, and he will know how to distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong. However, what God wants to forbid is the fruit from the tree of knowledge.
In order to pursue knowledge and become brighter, Eve secretly ate the forbidden fruit of knowledge and shared it with Adam. God knew that they ate the forbidden fruit and became wise, taking away His patent of knowing the difference between good and evil, so He punished the wise man and woman; but He was afraid that they would eat another tree in the garden again—— The fruit on the tree of life becomes immortal, so simply drive them out of the Garden of Eden!
The other tree is of course the tree of life. Such a tree can only be found in heaven and cannot be obtained by everyone. That is why we have today's life, old age, sickness and death.
