Huawei announced the fourth "Top Ten Inventions" in the fields of intelligent driving and head-up display.

Car change news? At the 2022 Innovation and Intellectual Property Forum held today, Huawei announced the major inventions that won awards in the biennial "Top Ten Inventions" selection activities. They are additive neural network, multi-objective game algorithm, optical iris, full-precision floating-point calculation, head-up display system, deterministic IP, kite scheme, BladeAAU and Massive MIMO scheme, 5G single air, dual-active network attached storage, LinkTurbo and Hyperhold.

The award aims to affirm and reward inventions or patented technologies that have the potential to create new product series, become important commercial features of products, and bring great commercial value to companies and industries. In 20021year, Huawei was the company with the largest number of patents granted in China, ranking first in the number of patent applications in the European Patent Office and fifth in the number of new patents granted in the United States. Huawei's PCT patent applications ranked first in the world for five consecutive years.

This is the third time that Huawei has held an innovation and intellectual property theme activity to share innovation practice. Huawei insists on investing more than 10% of its sales revenue in research and development every year. According to the report of 20021EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard, Huawei's R&D investment ranks second among global enterprises. In 20021year, Huawei invested R&D expenses142.7 billion yuan, accounting for 22.4% of sales revenue. In the past decade, the accumulated R&D expenditure has exceeded 845 billion yuan.

The first award-winning invention is a brand-new additive neural network. The invention can reduce the calculation power consumption and circuit area by 70% on the premise of ensuring accuracy, and related technologies can be widely applied to various terminal devices, consumer electronic products, smart cars and telecommunication networks.

The second award-winning invention is the multi-objective game algorithm. This invention solves some key challenges in autonomous driving, including positioning, perception and decision-making problems in complex scenes where people and vehicles are mixed on urban roads.

The third award-winning invention is the light iris. The passive nature of optical fiber makes its management very difficult. This patent helps operators to speed up the deployment of optical fiber broadband, reduce the waste of resources by 30% and reduce the operating cost by 20% by carving optical iris on optical fiber as the biological label of optical fiber.

The fourth award-winning invention is full-precision floating-point computing. The invention realizes the integration of high-efficiency and high-precision computing capabilities, and meets the floating-point computing requirements of high-performance computing, AI reasoning and other scenarios.

The fifth award-winning invention is the head-up display system. The invention solves the problems of ghosting, dizziness and vertigo in the head-up display system of smart cars, greatly reduces the volume, releases the computing resources, reduces the time delay, and makes consumers see clearly, afford and experience well.

The sixth award-winning invention is deterministic IP. The invention realizes deterministic low delay and low jitter of large-scale packet networks.

The seventh award-winning invention is the kite scheme. The invention helps operators to deploy remote core networks or "kite networks" in their enterprise customer parks, so as to meet the high reliability and safety requirements of manufacturing, mining and education industries.

The eighth award-winning invention is the BladeAAU and Massive MIMO scheme. This invention solves the key challenges of indoor and outdoor 5G deployment. Outdoors, BladeAAU helps customers deploy 5G networks in a minimalist way while ensuring the best network performance of different standards; Indoor, distributed MIMO technology can greatly improve the capacity and user experience of 5G networks.

The ninth award-winning invention is 5G single air. As a technology that has been incorporated into the 5G standard, the invention can make the network use more * * * spectrum resources, and increase the * * * sharing ratio of 5G cross-standard spectrum resources from 40% in the 4G era to 90%. Based on this invention, Huawei has realized the only commercial capability of millisecond dynamic spectrum in the industry. At present, the invention has been successfully commercialized in 26 bureaus around the world.

The tenth award-winning invention is dual-active network attached storage. The invention realizes the world's first symmetric dual-active high-end storage system, and its performance is twice that of the industry, which can meet the requirements of capacity expansion and zero business interruption in the fields of transportation, energy, finance and the like.

The eleventh award-winning inventions are LinkTurbo and Hyperhold. The invention is a pure terminal side acceleration combination. With this patent, smart phones can bring users a smooth experience under various network and memory usage conditions. LinkTurbo significantly improves the concurrent download rate and reduces the game delay and video buffering delay, while Hyperhold can greatly expand the available memory and improve the basic reading and writing performance.
