Josie and Max are a pair of smart brothers. Computer programming and robot development are their common hobbies. In the Little Inventor Competition, the two brothers defeated the previous champion Devera with their jointly built smart garbage truck and won a $1,000 reward. With financial support, Josie and Max will soon complete the recently developed intelligent robot "Xiao Xing". But in order to apply for a patent, the brothers agreed that no one could tell the secret, and they had to keep it secret from their mother.
When Josie attended a family gathering of Beth’s classmates, Beth’s good wishes unexpectedly summoned the spirit of Josie’s father back. Her father, a computer expert, died in an accident two years ago, but Josie always thought that his father committed suicide and could not forgive him. After returning home, Josie discovered that "Little Star"'s intelligence far exceeded the scope of her own computer programming. It turns out that the spirit of Josie's father came back and attached itself to "Little Star".
From then on, "Little Star" became a member of Josie's family. "Little Star"'s behavior made Josie, Max and their mother feel as if their father was back with them. However, Reporter Woods' report on "Little Star" attracted the favor of the robot company and the prying eyes of the Volckers and his son. After "Little Star" was stolen by the Walkers and his sons, "Little Star" was ruthlessly dealt with by "Little Star" Had a meal. Dad's spirit was about to leave. Before leaving, he entrusted his mother to Uncle Steve, who had been pursuing her. Josie finally agreed to cooperate with the robot company.
