The reporter learned from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security yesterday that starting from February 1st, the province will implement a new minimum wage standard, and the minimum wage standard and hourly wage standard in Class I areas will be adjusted to 96 yuan and 7.8 yuan respectively. The minimum wage and hourly wage in various areas of Nanjing will also be adjusted accordingly. The minimum wage has been raised to 96 yuan. With the approval of the provincial government, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security released the newly adjusted minimum wage yesterday. From February 1st, the monthly minimum wage will be adjusted from 85 yuan to 96 yuan in the first category, from 7 yuan to 79 yuan in the second category and from 59 yuan to 67 yuan in the third category. The hourly minimum wage is adjusted from 7.2 yuan to 7.8 yuan in the first category, from 5.9 yuan to 6.4 yuan in the second category and from 5. yuan to 5.4 yuan in the third category. The monthly minimum wage in the first, second and third regions increased by 12.95%, 12.86% and 13.56% respectively. Take Nanjing as an example. Nanjing is divided into only one category and two categories. The first category is Shicheng District and Jiangning District. The minimum wage will be adjusted from 85 yuan to 96 yuan, and the second category is Lishui County and Gaochun County. The minimum wage will be adjusted from 7 yuan to 79 yuan. The minimum wage includes personal insurance premium, but the minimum wage does not include the following contents: (1) overtime pay; (2) Allowances under special working environments and conditions such as middle shift, night shift, high temperature, low temperature, underground, toxic and harmful; (three) the laws, regulations and state provisions of the welfare of workers, etc. After excluding the above-mentioned projects and individuals from paying the housing provident fund according to the lower limit, the monthly salary paid by the employer to the workers shall not be lower than the minimum wage standard. It should be noted that the minimum wage standard includes social insurance premiums that individuals need to pay. That is to say, if the unit sets wages for employees according to the minimum wage, in fact, the wages that employees get can't reach 96 yuan. For example, an employee's salary is 96 yuan, and he himself has to pay pension insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance and other expenses according to the current minimum payment base, and the individual needs to bear 156 yuan. Then the minimum wage he actually got was 96-156=84 yuan. The adjustment of the minimum wage will increase the income of employees. For this adjustment of the minimum wage, the relevant person in charge of the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security introduced that raising the minimum wage will play a direct role in increasing the income of employees, especially raising the wage level of low-income employees, which is conducive to better safeguarding and improving people's livelihood. Due to the impact of the international financial crisis, the production and operation of some enterprises, especially export-oriented enterprises, are facing severe challenges in recent years. Our province has adopted a series of policy measures such as "five reductions, four delays, three supplements and two consultations" to help enterprises reduce their burdens and stabilize their posts. At the same time, in accordance with the spirit of the notice of the relevant state departments, the minimum wage standard was suspended. Nowadays, according to the changes in the economic situation, making positive adjustments is conducive to maintaining the market competitiveness of wages in our province, enhancing the vitality of enterprises and stabilizing employment.
