In terms of scientific research, the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering gives full play to the comprehensive advantages of interdisciplinary and mutual penetration, adheres to the development idea of paying equal attention to basic research and transformation of achievements, and closely combines production, learning and research, thus forming the obvious characteristics of high level of basic research and high transformation rate of scientific research results. Relying on the construction of national key disciplines, the innovation and intelligence introduction base of renewable energy grid-connected power generation in colleges and universities and the photovoltaic system engineering center of the Ministry of Education have been focusing on solar photovoltaic utilization, wind power generation, distributed power generation technology based on renewable energy, flexible power transmission and distribution technology, special power supply, new electrical transmission and motion control for many years. It has formed obvious advantages and characteristics in grid-connected power generation technology of solar energy and wind energy, distributed power generation technology based on renewable energy, high and low voltage converter and special power supply technology, special permanent magnet motor design, new electric drive, plasma electromagnetic field restraint technology, power quality control and so on. Relying on the IC Online Design Center of the Ministry of Education of our college, we focus on the embedded integrated design method and practical chip design of the control system, which has made outstanding achievements in both SOC and IP research directions, achieved fruitful research and development results and realized industrialization, and the products have been widely used in military and civilian fields; Anhui Industrial Automation Engineering Research Center has made remarkable achievements in the fields of motion control system and process control system, computer control system and control network, embedded system and measurement and control network, automatic detection and signal processing technology, intelligent monitoring and advanced control system, automatic instruments and devices, etc. The scientific research results are widely used in electric power, metallurgy, mining, transportation, petrochemical, tobacco, food and other fields. Since 23, college teachers have undertaken 584 scientific research projects, including 63 national, provincial and ministerial projects, including 7 national natural science foundation projects; Five national "863" high-tech projects; 16 other key scientific and technological projects; Won 1 first prize, 4 second prizes and 3 third prizes in Anhui Science and Technology.
