In January 2018, Tencent and Google announced that they had signed an agreement covering a variety of Patent cross-licensing agreements for products and technologies. On May 29, 2018, the "BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Brands in the World 2018" was released, with Google ranking first. On December 18, the "Top 500 World Brands 2018" compiled by the World Brand Laboratory was announced, and Google ranked second. In 2019, it ranked second among the world's 100 most valuable brands.
