What does it mean to have a patent number?

The patent number is the number given when the patent right is granted, and it is a submission number. The submission number is the serial number compiled by each industrial property office when publishing patent documents (including public publication and reading and copying only).

The number of the patent number is of course meaningful.

Take ZL20 10 1004567.7 as an example.

ZL stands for patent, which is the abbreviation of patent pinyin. Therefore, an application that has not yet obtained a patent right cannot be marked with ZL.

20 10 indicates the year of patent application.

1 indicates that the patent type is an invention patent; if 2 indicates a utility model patent, 3 indicates a design patent.

4567 stands for serial number.

.7 indicates the computer check number.
