900 yuan every year for 2, 4 to 5 years;

The application process of utility model patent is as follows:
1. At the application stage, the application documents for utility model shall include the patent request for utility model, specification, drawings of specification, claims, abstract and drawings of abstract. An application for a patent for utility model must have a description and drawings. Where a patent agency is entrusted, a power of attorney shall be submitted;
2. In the examination stage, China implements a preliminary examination system for utility model patent applications. During the preliminary examination, the examiner will issue a notice of correction to the formal problems in the application documents, and issue a notice of examination opinions to the obvious substantive problems, and the applicant will reply to the notice;
3. The authorization phase is as follows:
(1) authorization. After the first trial is passed, the examiner will issue a notice of granting the patent right. After receiving the notice of granting the patent right, the applicant needs to go through the registration procedures such as paying the patent registration fee, annual fee for authorization, printing fee for announcement, stamp duty on patent certificate, etc.
(2) Issuing a certificate, the applicant can obtain a patent certificate after going through the registration formalities, which takes about 2 to 3 months.
The online payment process of patent annual fee is as follows:
1. Open the computer browser, and search the online supplement and management system of patent payment information;
2. Remit the annual fee in full to the account designated by the Patent Office through the bank, online bank or post office;
3. On the main page of the patent payment information online payment management system, click the bank payment information to fill in or the post office payment information to fill in;
4. Enter the information filling page;
5. Check the information just filled in, and then click OK.

Article 40 If the application for a patent for utility model or design is not found to be rejected after preliminary examination, the administrative department for patent in the State Council shall make a decision to grant the patent right for utility model or design, issue the corresponding patent certificate, and register and announce it at the same time. The patent right for utility model and the patent right for design shall take effect as of the date of announcement.
Article 42 From the date of filing, the term of patent right for invention is 20 years, that for utility model is 10 year, and that for design is 15 year. Where a patent for invention is granted for four years from the date of application for a patent for invention and three years from the date of request for substantive examination, the patent administration department of the State Council shall, at the request of the patentee, compensate for the unreasonable delay of the invention patent in the process of authorization, except for the unreasonable delay caused by the applicant. In order to compensate for the time occupied by the review and approval of new drugs, the patent administration department of the State Council shall compensate the patentee for the patent term of new drug-related invention patents that have been approved for listing in China. The compensation period shall not exceed five years, and the total effective patent right period after the new drug is approved for marketing shall not exceed fourteen years.
