Yu Yandong graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with a doctorate in material processing, a postdoctoral fellow at the National Engineering Research Center for Precision Forming of Light Alloys of Shanghai Jiaotong University, a researcher at the Industrial Development Department of the Development and Reform Commission of Heilongjiang Province (director level), a visiting professor at the National Light Alloys Research Center of Monash University in Australia, and a visiting scholar at the Australian Federal College of Science and Technology.
