Now, according to a recent report of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Samsung galaxy ranks second in the world in the number of patent applications, while Huawei ranks seventh.

According to the World Intellectual Property Index 20 18, Canon of Japan applied for 24,006 patent families from 20 13 to 20 15, ranking first. Followed by Samsung Electronics (2 1836) and China State Grid (21635); Huawei ranked seventh (14605).

The report of the World Intellectual Property Organization emphasizes that eight of the top ten companies with the most patents of the same family are located in Asia. IBM ranked fifth in the United States and Bosch Group ranked tenth in Germany, becoming the only two non-Asian applicants in the top ten.
