The ultimate goal of yoga practice is to stimulate these primitive potentials, so that we can better play ourselves and enjoy life.
The patanjali Yoga Sutra defines yoga as follows: yogachit Tavriti? Nirod. Yoga means yoga and combination, Chitta means the essence of the mind, Vritti means change, modification and change, and Vritti means restraint, control and prevention. Recently, an article about "the harm of yoga" on WeChat official account has been widely circulated. Among them, "semi-teachers" belong to people who don't understand yoga culture. What Ta gains, learns and contacts is fake yoga, so Ta's cognition can only stay at that level, which is sad and ridiculous, and regards itself as true knowledge. I'm sure Ta hasn't read Yoga Sutra. Even if Ta meets the wrong "yoga", if he has read some yoga sutras, he will realize that he won't say such stupid things.
Breathing control, asana, mandala, bandaging and meditation are all tools of yoga. Only asana is equivalent to exercise. Some operators can do sports, but please don't use difficult postures to induce and hurt in the name of yoga. This is immoral and unfair to yoga. According to different ages, different constitutions, different seasons and different time periods, using and combining different yoga tools is the real yoga practice. Yoga is as exquisite as our Chinese medicine. Look, smell, ask, cut, open, or supplemented by acupuncture and massage, and make corresponding adjustments according to the effect. Traditional Chinese medicine does not distinguish between hot medicine and cold medicine, and so does yoga.
Yoga regards physical health as a whole healing, including physical level, psychological awareness level and spiritual level. At present, many people have health problems, both physically and consciously. Through regular yoga practice, these health problems can be improved and people can return to the health channel more quickly. If you need to see a doctor if you are sick, it is purely an exaggeration to cure all diseases.
Spinal, shoulder and neck diseases are common, with complicated causes, incorrect sitting posture and walking posture, too much pressure, anxiety and external demand in life style, emotion and spirit. These diseases can't be solved by some yoga postures, and even with the concept of anatomy, they are only temporarily relieved. Only when it is combined with other yoga tools and guided by psychological consciousness will it develop healthily. Many yoga instructors have big problems themselves, but they are still immersed in postures that go beyond the limit.
Obesity, like other health problems, has complicated causes. One: Yu Wei Tuo, who is as profound as yoga, thinks that physique will affect the obesity of the body. Improper diet, irregular work and rest, stressful life and work, and excessive pursuit of material things are all factors that lead to obesity. Second, the concept of obesity is wrongly defined. Nowadays, many women pursue thinness as beauty, which is abnormal.
Modern medicine cannot solve the problem of obesity. For people with overweight constitution, we should adjust our work and rest, diet, proper exercise, and use yoga breathing control and cleaning methods to achieve the purpose of losing weight, so as to achieve a truly healthy weight. Those courses under the guise of slimming "yoga" are purely to attract attention, cater to the market and get more economic benefits! Regular practice of yoga brings obvious physical benefits to practitioners, which will obviously improve some chronic diseases and sub-health, such as digestive problems, hypertension, diabetes, constipation, insomnia, headache, back pain, shoulder and neck pain, etc. And stress and anxiety will be reduced, and personality will become cheerful, positive, patient, open-minded and tolerant. We can treat people and things in a neutral way. Do things with multiple goals and be firm in heart. This is a change of consciousness, that is, you can hear your inner voice instead of being controlled by your consciousness. The whole person's state will be different, emitting self-confidence, sunshine and elegant temperament. All these changes are because the body is clean, the blood circulation is better, the heart is healthier, the energy tends to be balanced, and the original excellent potential is stimulated.
Yoga is the cultural wealth left by Indian sages. Originally from Indian religion, it was practiced by specialized practitioners. Later, the wise men thought that this way which is beneficial to people's physical and mental health should be available to all ordinary people, so some wise men taught yoga culture to more ordinary people to practice.
During the British colonial period, Indians began to advocate westernization, and yoga declined. Saint Krishnamacharya revived yoga again and accepted Indra David Indra Devi, the first female practitioner in the history of modern yoga. She was the first person to spread yoga outside India. Including Pattabhi Jois (Ashtanga School) and Iyengar B.K.S. Iyengar (Iyengar School), who are familiar to yoga practitioners, are disciples of sages who also spread yoga to the west.

Let the original excellent characteristics be reopened, so as to get what you really want, instead of blindly following and following others. This is a long process, and some people may never get it, so we need patience.
At this point, I think there will be many objections: I just want to do exercises, be abused, and like various genres ... that's fine, but please don't use the name yoga, which is unfair. Don't blame yoga, criticize yoga if your body is injured.
People who really know yoga will neither hurt themselves nor others. True yogis bring people culture, wisdom, happiness, abundance and lifelong nourishment. In this fast food era, few people are willing to listen to the advice of people who really understand yoga. Because of this, many people also give up real yoga to cater to the society and meet the needs.
