Overview of headlamp assembly
Does that sound awkward? Simply put, BYD has three left and right LED light sources in the light group. When using the low beam lamp, all three lamps are turned on (with the low beam lamp as the main light source). When the high beam is turned on, the two light sources will switch to the high beam (one is lens structure and the other is reflective bowl structure) to undertake the main lighting tasks. The arrangement order of EV and DM lamp groups is slightly different.
We suspect that the reason for this mixed arrangement is to make up for their relative shortcomings by using the different characteristics of the reflective bowl and lens structure. Of course, the actual lighting and glare performance can't be guessed, depending on the test results.

●? Han EV
The irradiation distance of high beam is excellent, but the glare control is poor. Of course, due to the function of adaptive high beam, the system can automatically turn off the high beam when overtaking, and glare will not be a big problem.
●? Han DM
Adaptive high and low beam refers to turning on the high beam in daily driving. When there is a passing car or a coming car in front, the system will automatically help you switch the high beam to the low beam. The following is a test video of Han EV/DM adaptive far and near light.
More exciting videos are on car home Video Channel.
For this function, we also tested it at night. Generally speaking, the response is quick and sensitive, but if an error is triggered, it is better to be wrong than to forgive. Of course, this strategy is also correct. After all, switching to the low beam light will not have much impact on driving safety in most cases, but if it is not automatically switched to the low beam light when passing, it may cause great safety hazards.
abstract
First of all, BYD's headlights are very beautiful, especially the design of taillights, which makes people shine. China Lighting Factory enjoys a high reputation. The overall test data is excellent, and turning on all-weather fill light can make up for some shortcomings such as horizontal detection distance. For example, the glare problem of high beam of Han EV can be solved by adaptive far and near beam. Of course, on the existing basis, we also hope that BYD can apply ADB, pixel/laser light source and other more advanced lighting technologies to the subsequent flagship new cars, so as to achieve by going up one flight of stairs.
