The main research areas are targeted therapy for brain-related diseases and research on the molecular mechanisms of brain glioma.
1) For the first time at home and abroad, 11 antigenic epitopes of human brain AChE were screened using combinatorial chemical peptide synthesis technology. The composition and amino acid sequence of the first 10 antigenic epitopes have been established. The research results were published in two articles in "Brain Research".
2) Use SELEX technology to screen to obtain oligonucleotide aptamers targeting human AChE, and use the "target switching" strategy to screen to obtain oligonucleotide aptamers specifically targeting human brain AChE. This method can quickly and easily obtain aptamers for target proteins, and can be used in immunological detection as diagnostic reagents. Research in this area has published 4 SCI articles and applied for 1 invention patent. Antisense technology was used to synthesize antisense oligonucleotides specific for human AChE, and its anti-dementia effects can be detected in cells and animal models of dementia. The results of this study were published in "Brain Research".
3) Research on the molecular mechanism and treatment of glioma mainly involves the study of aptamers of epidermal growth factor III mutants, the isolation of glioma stem cells and the study of their Notch signaling pathway, There is now some progress in the comprehensive treatment of glioma.
