Jiuzihe Scenic Area borders Tiantangzhai Scenic Area and Yingshan Mountain in the east, Qingtaiguan Scenic Area and Baimazhai Scenic Area in Anhui Province in the north, Baodaofeng Scenic Area in the west and Paradise Lake Scenic Area in the south. It is the central scenic spot of Dabie Mountain National Forest Park with convenient transportation. The scenic spot is rich in products, including chestnut, silkworm, tea, poria cocos, bamboo, butter, persimmon and other green foods. Among them, Poria cocos has been exported free of inspection since the middle of Qing Dynasty and exported to Japan, Southeast Asia and other countries. It has a history of more than 500 years and is known as the "hometown of poria cocos".
Jiuzihe Town combines eco-tourism resources with historical and cultural resources to develop and expand the two pillar industries of medicinal materials and tourism, and has embarked on a green ecological development road. The town has also become the only national-level green and low-carbon economy demonstration key town, national-level ecological town and one of the first eleven provincial-level tourist towns in Hubei Province. In 20 14, it was named as a national key town.
